General Instruction -:

i)        All the questions are compulsory.

ii)      The question paper consists of 13 questions.

iii)    Questions 1 to 5 are 1 mark each.

iv)    Questions 6 to 7 are 2 marks each.

v)      Questions 8 to 10 are 3 marks each.

vi)    Questions 11 to 13 are 4 marks each.

2.       A coin is tossed 600 times with the frequencies as :

If a coin is tossed at random, what is the probability of getting         i) a head ?      ii) a tail ?

3.       Find the volume and surface area of a sphere of radius 21cm.

OR

The curved surface area of a cylinder is 1210 cm2 and its diameter is 20cm. Find the height and       volume.

4.       In an isosceles ∆ABC with AB=AC, a circle passing through B and C intersects the sides AB and AC at D and E respectively. Prove that DE ǁ BC.                                                                              (fig-Q.4.1)                                                

OR

AB and CD are two parallel chords of a circle with centre O and radius 5cm such that AB = 8cm and CD = 6cm. if OPAB and OQCD .Determine the length PQ.

5.       In ∆ABC , if D is the midpoint of BC and E is the midpoint of AD then prove that-

ar(∆BED) = ar(∆ABC) .         

6.       P,Q,R and S are respectively the midpoints of the sides AB, BC, CD and DA of a quadrilateral ABCD  Show that.                                                                                                                         (fig-Q.4.2)

7.          Find the area of a parallelogram ABCD in which AB = 28cm, BC = 26cm and diagonal AC = 30 cm.
